Lead without Limits Awards Program

SunGard K-12 Education’s Lead without Limits Awards Program recognizes schools/school districts, departments, administrators, and educators that leverage technology to improve student achievement and/or school or district efficiency. Each month, SunGard K-12 will celebrate at least one district, school, department, or individual in one of three categories:

  • Data All-Star. Data All-Stars use data to positively affect student achievement by applying best practices or innovating processes. Whether their initiatives are impacting one student or hundreds of students, nominees are unlocking student potential by applying insights gained from an analysis of data.
  • Operational Efficiency Pacesetter. Operational Efficiency Pacesetters leverage technology to improve the efficiency of school/district processes. Nominees set the pace for school/district productivity by creating initiatives that use technology to make things better, cheaper, quicker, and/or more effective.
  • Information Technology Innovator. Information Technology Innovators enhance the educational process with technology. Nominees’ information technology efforts support student achievement and/or improve school/district efficiency.

One month prior to the SNUG Conference, the Lead without Limits Awards committee will select the annual Lead without Limits Awards recipients, one in each category, from the monthly recipients from the prior 12 months. The annual Lead without Limits Awards recipients will be recognized during the SNUG conference and SunGard K-12 will pay the SNUG conference fee for one individual representing each of these recipients.

Do you know an individual or school district that is using technology to make a difference? Submit your nomination today!

How do I make a nomination?

Simply complete the online nomination form. Guidelines for nominations:

  • Nominations for the monthly award are due by 5 p.m. on the last day of the month.
  • Only individuals, departments, and schools/school districts using a SunGard K-12 Education solution may make a nomination or be nominated for the Lead without Limits Awards.
  • There is no limit to the number of nominations submitted per school or school district. Self-nominations cannot be accepted.

In your nomination, please provide sufficient detail to allow the committee members to understand the impact and effectiveness of the nominee’s efforts.

How are recipients selected?

Monthly recipients will be selected by a committee of SunGard K-12 Education employees.  Committee members individually will consider the nominations in each of the following categories:

  • Originality: How creatively has the individual/district used data or applied technology to support student achievement?
  • Effectiveness: How effective is the innovation?
  • Impact: What impact is the innovation having on student achievement or business efficiency?

The individual/district receiving the highest total score will be selected as the winner of the monthly award. All nominations not recognized with a monthly award will automatically roll into the pool for the next month’s consideration.

Recipients of the annual Lead without Limits Awards will be selected by a committee, which will include representation from SunGard K-12 Leadership and one member of the board of the SunGard K-12 National Users Group.

Additional Program Guidelines:

  • Recipients and their efforts will be featured on SunGard K-12’s social media channels, customer newsletter, and website.
