Title:  Eligibility Calculations 4.0

Description: eSchoolPLUS contains options for calculating students eligibility for activities based on Discipline, Progress Reports, Report Cards as well as Attendance. This seminar will review the setups required for each calculation and demonstrate the eligibility calculation process.

During the program you will learn:

  • How to setup and calculate Eligibility based on behavior infractions
  • How to setup and calculate Eligibility based on attendance
  • How to setup and calculate Eligibility based on progress reports
  • How to setup and calculate Eligibility based on report card marks and GPAs
  • How to run the Eligibility report

Title:  Using Cognos to Create Attendance Letters

Description: Would your school district like to send attendance notifications home but finds the merge process too cumbersome? Or maybe the criteria options to tag students just don’t quite fit your needs? During this session we’ll explore the options for using Cognos to identify students with attendance issues and create a letter to send home. Through the use of Program Tracking we can load a record to display on the Student Summary page indicating a notification has been sent.

During the program you will learn:

  • How to create attendance calculations in Cognos
  • How to create a letter in Cognos
  • How to use Program Tracking to identify students who have received notifications

Description: This seminar is designed for those who will be processing Report Cards for the first time and for those who want a refresher on the basics. We’ll go through the whole process starting with entering grades in TAC and eSchoolPLUS and ending with the final print of Report Cards.

  • How to prepare student records for report card processing
  • How to enter grades through TAC and eSchoolPLUS
  • How to run Honor Roll, Credit, Average, GPA and Graduation Requirement calculations

Title:  Using Whiteboard to Create a Master Schedule

Description: Whiteboard provides a graphical, easy to use interface for creating and maintaining a Master Schedule.  Copy your Master Schedule from year to year?  Use Whiteboard to tweak and move sections.  Run Master Schedule Builder?  No problem, you can run the Builder first and then use Whiteboard or use Whiteboard first to place specific courses and then run the Builder to fill in around them.  You can even run the Student Scheduler from Whiteboard!  This session is designed for those administrators who are comfortable with the scheduling process and want to learn how to integrate Whiteboard into their current procedures.  Sessions for Entering and Evaluating a Master Schedule and Running the Student Scheduler may be more suited for newer schedulers and will incorporate Whiteboard where appropriate.

During the program you will learn:

·         How to navigate Whiteboard panes and customize the Whiteboard interface

·         Understand Best Fit recommendations

·         How to place new course sections

·         How to move and modify existing course sections

·         How to view Student, Staff and Room conflicts

·         How to run tasks such as the Error Scan, Student Scheduler, and Erase Student Schedules from within Whiteboard
