SunGard K-12 Announces Expansion with New Office in Lake Mary, Florida

SunGard K-12, a software solutions company that allows district leaders, team members, communities, and students to be linked together, announced the opening of a new office in Lake Mary, Florida to accommodate the growing demand from districts within the state of Florida. The company integrates thought leadership, technology systems and client advisement programs into one proactive, mobile platform to help districts increase operational performance, manage financial budgets, promote parental and community involvement, and coordinate the many moving parts of a school district. The new office is located at 1000 Business Center Drive in Lake Mary, FL. SunGard K-12 will share space that SunGard Public Sector already occupies. CEO of SunGard Public Sector, Mike Borman, said, “SunGard Public Sector is pleased to welcome SunGard K-12 to the Lake Mary office. K-12 is a strong addition to the existing space and, while we operate independently, we have many natural synergies that will benefit both companies as well as our respective clients.”

According to Frank Lavelle, President and CEO of SunGard K-12, “Our new office in Lake Mary, Florida extends SunGard K-12’s footprint and gives us the opportunity to impact even more districts with our products and services. We’re excited to be closer to the action that is happening in Florida districts right now.” SunGard K-12’s office will provide additional support to existing customers, as well as function as a sales and management base to expand and service new districts in the state of Florida and surrounding states. SunGard K-12 currently supports over 1,400 districts and thousands of schools nationwide with existing offices in Bethlehem, PA, Chico, CA, Long Island, NY and Shelton, CT. The company also currently employs over 400 employees.
