SunGard K-12 Education’s FastTRACK Exceeds 1,000 in Total Attendance in First Year
SunGard K-12 Education, a leading K-12 administrative software and technology services company, launched the FastTRACK professional development initiative in April 2014. During the initiative’s first year, more than 1,000 school district personnel from across the United States attended these well-received, free professional development sessions.
FastTRACK supports school district personnel using SunGard K-12’s PLUS 360 solutions to develop advanced skills and help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their processes. Intentionally short, the 30-minute online sessions are designed to squeeze into an already jam-packed day and provide focused support for using PLUS 360 solutions to meet ever-changing challenges in K-12 education.
Lynn Galgon, SunGard K-12 Education’s director of student professional services, says FastTRACK highlights the software company’s commitment to its customers’ success. “In contrast to today’s out-of-the-box mentality, SunGard K-12 Education is known for its hands-on approach to professional services,” says Galgon. “We are dedicated to our customers’ success, so much so that we developed these complimentary sessions to help guide them to more effective practices and processes.”
FastTRACK sessions support the professional development needs of new school district personnel and offer seasoned users tips for better leveraging the tools in their SunGard K-12 administrative solutions. Over recent months, FastTRACK has grown in popularity as the software company has been guided in expanding its offering based on customer feedback. Recent individual sessions have had record attendance of almost 100 participants.
Eric Walsh, SunGard K-12 Education’s director of financial professional services, says FastTRACK is just one way the company offers enhanced value to its customers. “SunGard K-12 Education believes school districts are key to the success of this nation’s greatest resource—our children,” he says. “One way we can help districts, which are struggling with tight budgets and limited staffing, is to provide them robust administrative systems and then offer them the support they need to make the most of their investment.”
Pat Bush, the Delaware Department of Education’s director of technology resources and data development, values FastTRACK. “Delaware DOE appreciates the ‘just-in-time’ nature of SunGard K-12 Education webinars. We consistently hear positive feedback from our help desk and customer support personnel on these sessions,” he says. “Timely, short, meaningful, targeted instruction aids all our stakeholders and customers in more effectively using the PLUS 360 suite of applications.”
